I am a pragmatic, delivery focused consultant with over 15 years experience developing business intelligence and data warehouse solutions and over 25 years commercial business experience. I have been fortunate enough to work for Altis Consulting since 2004 and have progressed from Consultant to Delivery Lead in this time. Data Architect guiding TransGrid in the transition from a single ERP to multiple ERPs integrated via an ESB. Challenges included being able to delivering reporting whilst re-architecting

icare NSW
Altis – Technical Lead
03 / 2018 – 07 / 2020

During my engagement with icare I delivered a solution to provide compliance data to the State Insurance Regulatory Normal (SIRA). I was also the Technical Lead of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. The role involved the following:
  • Estimating and Planning
  • POC using Matillion and Snowflake.
  • Managing a tech team of 10 Informatica developers.
  • Refinement of the existing ETL Framework.
  • Release and code management.
  • Delivery of compliance data to SIRA.
Both projects were integral to the formation of the department and ensured that regulatory objectives were met and business users had access to the necessary data to run and develop the department

NSW State Insurance Regulatory (SIRA)

Transport for NSW
Altis – Delivery Lead

Delivery of a real-time data service containing NSW, vehicle traffic data. The project was delivered using SQLStream ESP and included:
  • Project management of a global development team.
  • Integration with Google Map APIs to process GPS data.
  • Build of RESTful APIs to enable users to request a route between two points and then obtain updated travel times as they proceeded on their journey.
  • Data mining to model the impact of traffic incidents and the resulting congestion on travel times.
  • Support of a hackathon where participants proposed/developed solutions to the NSW traffic issues using the data provided.
The primary business driver was to resolve Sydney traffic congestion by the sharing of real-time data via mobile devices.
